Rams Suffer Hard loss to Quince Orchard

Ulric Erickson, Staff Writer

Girls varsity basketball (0-4) fell to the Quince Orchard Cougars (2-0) with a final score of 54-19 Dec. 15 at home despite a strong defensive effort from the Rams.

The Rams came out strong in the first half, but could not keep up with the Cougars’ aggressive offense who closed the first half 25-8.

In the second half, the Rams kept up their hard defense with sophomore guard Jadiah Piatt fighting for the ball on many Cougar possessions. Junior Emily Huynh contributed four points but the Rams were not able to overcome the Cougars’ dominant offense.

Girls varsity basketball will face off against the Northwest Jaguars away Jan. 20 at 7:15 p.m.
