As a sophomore, Camryn Trail has already made a significant impact on the team, having earned her spot on varsity as a freshman- a testament to her outstanding skills and dedication to the sport.
“She’s not only been a great player on the field, but also isn’t afraid to speak up about making plays or working on certain skills,” Captain Grace Litzenburg said.
Trail made an immediate impact her freshman year, being awarded 1st Team All-Division. Her exceptional performance on the field did not go unnoticed, as she quickly became a key player for the team. Her ability to anticipate plays, execute precise passes, and help defend against tough opponents has set her apart from her peers.
“Both seasons she’s been here we’ve had winning records and she’s a big part of the team so I think she’s definitely implementing that winning culture in the program,” Litzenburg said.
Continuing her impressive streak, Trail maintained her status as a 1st Team All-Division Player in her sophomore year. Her consistency to the sport has been evident in every game as she continues to lead by example. Beyond her individual achievements, Trail is a team player who uplifts those around her. Her positive attitude, relentless work ethic, and passion for field hockey inspire her teammates and contribute to the overall success of the team. As the season has officially come to an end, Trail has made her mark, and we can expect to see even more next season.
“Making varsity freshman year like I wasn’t expecting to make varsity necessarily, but it felt like a relief sort of because I knew that it allowed me to be with the people who weren’t just in my grade and people who had been on the team for longer,” Trail said.
Although we recognize the individual success of Trail, she credits her success to her teammates, and their ability to push her to be the best possible player.
“All you need to do really is build your relationships with the people around you first, the more you talk to these people, the more you can learn from them and they can push you to do better,” Trail said.
