Milli Alfaro is a part of the RHS freshman class of 2028, but her high school experience so far hasn’t been typical.
“Do not miss [the first] two weeks of school,” she advised. “You’re going to get lost, you’re going to get lots of work to do when you come back.”
Despite starting high school a few weeks later due to personal circumstances, Alfaro says she’s managed to find a place for herself in our school community.
“It’s pretty fun here,” she said. “I’m meeting a lot of new people. I made some new friends. Overall, it’s pretty good.”
Alfaro has also joined the school marching band, which she finds enjoyable. Reflecting on her musical interests, she highlighted orchestra as one of her favorite classes.
“Orchestra because I really like music, and it’s a music class, and it’s pretty easy for me,” Alfaro said.
When it comes to her own musical tastes, Alfaro enjoys artists like Laufey and Beabadoobee.
“I like the kind of music that Laufey makes… Like jazz,” she said. “That cozy vibe.”
