Elizabeth Seabreeze makes her happiest teaching memories when she sees individual students making progress and working hard.
“When I see [students] make a lot of progress and they’ve been working really hard. Those are always happy memories for me,” Ms. Seabreeze said.
You might assume that teachers’ mostly remember what students think of as “fun” activities, but according to Seabreeze, the joy comes from watching her students understand new concepts.
Seabreeze is known as a popular government teacher at RHS, but that wasn’t always her goal.
“I wanted to teach U.S. history, and then I got switched over to government, and I love it here,” Seabreeze said.
Seabreeze truly enjoys her job has a reputation among her students for being positive and engaging.
“I really love the kids. I really love working here. [RHS students are] really fun,” Seabreeze said.
