Junior Helena Stephanos comes from a big, close knit family. She grew up going on vacations with her family, 10 cousins, and aunts and uncles.
“All of us were kind of shoved into this one big house,” Stephanos said. “My favorite part is just never being alone like I always have someone to eat dinner with or somebody to do my homework with so I’m never by myself.”
It was a trip to Disney World that Stephanos says changed her bond with her family and brought them all closer together. Their vacations together helped them learn family values.
“When I watch it, all of us were kind of shoved into this one big house, so ultimately we had to all sleep near each other and in the same room,” Stephano said.
Her family had always been close, but this trip, in particular, helped them spend quality time together and teach them lessons about the support a family provides, the importance of staying close, and being able to count on each other no matter the circumstances.
“We were already a really big family, so as we were in this house cooking and dancing, I think it kind of paved the way for us to still hold on together and still do more vacations together,” Stephano said.
