Freshman Idong Udoka is adjusting to his new responsibilities in school and on the field.
“It’s kind of hard, waking up earlier in the morning just to get here,” Udoka says.
Although some parts of the transition from middle school to high school have been difficult for Udoka, soccer has come easy. Udoka is one of the few freshmen on the boys varsity soccer team at RHS and is handling the added pressure well.
“Playing soccer, varsity soccer, I felt confident in my abilities,” Udoka said.
Udoka, just entering his second month of high school, is still learning the new experiences that come with it but is already enjoying his time here at Rockville.
“I like high school more than middle school, it’s the people and the sports,” Udoka said.
