Freshman Dosha Lat is trying to find her groove. Like many freshmen at RHS, the academic and social change in high school can be difficult. But for Lat, things are looking good.
“I think my greatest accomplishment is just like keeping up my good grades in school,” Lat said. “You know doing well in school, better than before.”
The switch from middle school to high school has been an adjustment for Lat with a more challenging course load and experiencing a new environment. However, one thing in her life has stayed the same.
“I come home and talk to my mom about everything,” Lat said. “Just how my day went and like the things that didn’t go well, and she just gives me advice.”
Thanks to Lat’s mother’s advice, Lat won’t let anything get in the way of her year.
“She was just like, keep your head up high, and just don’t like bother about the mean people,” Lat said.
