Senior Valeria Nolasco is a member of the Rockville Poms team and a communicative student.
“One of my strengths is probably my social skills and communicating with others,” Nolasco said.
Nolasco uses these social and communication skills on the Poms team, which she has been a member of for three years.
“The girls are so amazing to be around and the energy is always positive,” Nolasco said.
As a senior, Nolasco is going through the process of applying to colleges. This has been stressful.
“I would say, start early, start as soon as you can, so you don’t have to be stressed when school starts so you can focus on school,” Nolasco said.
AP Statistics is her most challenging subject for her this school year. But, she puts a lot of time and effort into the class.
“I used our textbook and took 30 minutes every day after school and study,” Nolasco said.
Nolasco wants to enjoy her senior year. Stressfulness aside, she is bittersweet about this year being her last. She is especially sad about her time on the Poms team ending.`
“I’m super upset this is my last year because I love dancing and I’m gonna miss the great friendships I made,” Nolasco said.
