18 & Under: Crumbl Cookies

Crumbl sells different sized boxes of cookies for every occasion. Their flavor variety and unique approach make it well worth the price.

If you haven’t heard of Crumbl Cookies already, you are truly missing out on the hottest cookies in town.

Crumbl started as a family business co-founded by Jason McGowan (CEO) & Sawyer Hemsley (COO), cousins who teamed up and dove head-first into the world of baking.

The first Crumbl Cookie location was in Logan, Utah. After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that are just plain embarrassing to them today, the two cousins decided to take their perfect cookie quest to the people. They gathered feedback and tested recipes, a practice that is still part of the Crumbl process, until they created what both they and I know as the world’s best chocolate chip cookie.

New flavors are added frequently, often weekly, in addition to current recipes being updated and improved. The brand now focuses on developing unique and delicious cookies inspired by popular flavors, foods, desserts of all kinds, from pies to cakes to candies and more.

Crumbl provides a new array of cookies every week. I tried a few of the new additions from the Valentine’s Day menu, which are birthday cake (Valentine), chocolate strawberry cheesecake, chocolate caramel, classic pink sugar, milk chocolate chip, and sugar featuring Valentine X’s and O’s.

To get your mouth watering, here are the descriptions of some of their cookie flavors. A cake batter cookie topped with cake batter cream cheese frosting and heart sprinkles. A chocolate cookie studded with semi-sweet chocolate and topped with strawberry cheesecake frosting. A chocolate cookie with milk chocolate chips, smothered with sweet caramel, then topped with a caramel piece and a dash of sea salt. Lastly, their signature sugar cookie topped with a perfect pink swirl of almond-flavored frosting.

I ordered four cookies on my trip: Sugar, Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake, and the Valentine Birthday Cake. A single cookie is priced at $4.59, a 4-pack box is $15.93, a 6- Pack box is $22.41, and a party box which holds 12 cookies is priced at $39.46. These prices are on the upper end, but the size and taste of their cookies make it well worth the price.

My personal favorite out of all the cookies was the chocolate caramel cookie, because it had an amazing flavor and the caramel melted in your mouth creating a sweet taste.

If you are not a fan of caramel, the second best cookie was the birthday cake cookie. The icing was the star, as it was smooth and sweet. The batter had an amazing soft texture to it as well.

The chocolate strawberry cheesecake cookie was unique, because it gave the experience of eating 3 treats in one. The sugar cookie was a bit boring, dry, and not warm like the others.

Overall Crumbl Cookie is a phenomenal place to get cookies to give or eat with friends and family. For every special holiday like Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and July 4th, Crumbl makes special cookies to celebrate it by designing unique cookies – so make sure to stop by.
